The multifunctional safety relay modules in the PROTECT SRB-E series can cover a wide range of application profiles in eight available variants. FEATURES OF THE SAFETY RELAY MODULES FOR DOUBLE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
SRB 100DR relays are suitable for signal processing of floating outputs, such as command devices, and are equipped with a STOP category 0 safety contact. The enclosure is ventilated and made from plastic and glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic. This allows the module to be used in ambient temperatures of between -25 and +60°C. The cable cross section is 0.25 to maximum 2.5 mm².
The latest edition of the SRB-EXi safety relay modules combines functional safety, reliable signal processing and safety release with the requirements of explosion protection. It monitors the connected sensors, E-Stop command devices, interlocking devices, reset buttons and safety sensors with the ignition protection type intrinsic safety ‘i’. The modules were designed on the basis of the ATEX guideline 94/9/EC as well as the European standards EN 60 079 ff. The EXi monitoring circuits are intrinsically safe and designed for category 2GD or 3G devices according to ATEX, IECEx and INMETRO.
