FOOT SWITCH WITH SAFETY FUNCTION
Foot switches with a safety function are used as enabling switches on systems and machines where manual actuation of the enabling function is not possible or makes no sense. The switches are typically used in woodworking machines and forming technology machines. Safety foot switches are also frequently used in the field of packaging technology.STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE FOOT CONTROL
If the foot pedal is pressed to the pressure point, the NO contact closes: The machine function is started. If the operator presses the pedal beyond this pressure point, the positive break NC contact is opened and the machine function is stopped. A mechanical interlock prevents a restart or uncontrolled restart of the machine. It is unlocked manually using a push button on the housing. To prevent unintentional activation, all foot switches are secured by a protective cover. Versions with two pedals are also available, with one pedal triggering the safety function and the other a process function. Users can choose between different switching and contact variants. A maximum of four contacts are possible per pedal.
