2 enabling paths with different shut-down behaviour, e.g. emergency exit opens both enabling paths (level 1); guard door monitoring only opens the second enabling path (level 2)
Suitable for signal processing of potential-free contacts, e.g. Emergency Stop command devices (level 1), position switches with safety function, solenoid interlocks and safety sensors (level 2)

The Schmersal Group offers a wide range of products in the field of safe signal evaluation. In addition to universal safety relay modules, which are suitable for immediate disconnection of the energy supply to a hazardous movement, special forms of module are also available. Safety relay modules with double acknowledgement guarantee that the operator is outside the hazardous zone before the machine controller can be switched on again. To do this, the operator first presses the reset button inside the system and then another which is outside the accessible system area. The SRB 100DR safety relay for double acknowledgement is suitable for applications up to PL e/Cat. 4 in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and up to SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508.
FEATURES OF THE SAFETY RELAY MODULES FOR DOUBLE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
SRB 100DR relays are suitable for signal processing of floating outputs, such as command devices, and are equipped with a STOP category 0 safety contact. The enclosure is ventilated and made from plastic and glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic. This allows the module to be used in ambient temperatures of between -25 and +60°C. The cable cross section is 0.25 to maximum 2.5 mm².
