The PROTECT SELECT compact safety controller with programme selection functions is a multifunctional module that is used to configure a protective device. The designer also has the option of integrating these into various machine functions. The four different basic programmes available can be conveniently adapted to the application via menu navigation and plain text display - no programming knowledge is required.

The simple handling of this safety control system enables, for example, the individual setting of drop-out delay and debounce times. Various parameters such as cross-circuit monitoring can also be configured as required. A fact that the PROTECT SELECT control units have over safety relay modules. The user benefits from useful functions in all application programmes, such as:

  • Connection of up to six dual-channel safety switching devices (with or without potential) up to PL e / SIL 3
  • Adjustable safe semiconductor or relay outputs with STOP 0 or STOP 1

Depending on the application, the PROTECT SELECT compact safety control unit with programme selection functions can be used with four different settings. Programme 1 (a safety area with operating mode selection / enabling switch), for example, offers the option of connecting up to four two-channel safety switching devices. Overriding is carried out with the aid of operating mode selection and enabling switches.
